What’s Included in Our Comprehensive Packages?

We not only cover the points below, but our consultants work closely with each student to help discover, then fine tune a point of focus, which eventually leads to successfully telling their story to admissions officers through the application process. 

CAREER COUNSELING

We initially focus on providing career guidance by helping the student explore their talents and interests.  In 11th grade, start working with the student to deepen their areas of focus.

SUPER-CURRICULARS

Your CV is critical in your application.  We evaluate your engagements and provide recommendations based on your academic goals and focus.

FINANCIAL AID

This is a critical piece of the application process, one that drives how we evaluate your academic options, prepare your college lists.  We will have budget discussions with you and your family starting early on.  During senior year, we provide recommendations on how to approach financial aid applications.

We help craft an application and financial aid strategy that takes into account the family’s financial profile. We are able to guide the process of filling out CSS and FAFSA forms and are well versed in international as well as US resident/citizen’s applications.   We also guide the family through the evaluation of financial aid offers from universities.

ACADEMIC BENCHMARKING AND ROADMAP

When we start with a student, one of our first tasks is to assess the student to prepare a customized roadmap which illustrates priority activities based on the student’s timeline.  This step in our process usually brings much needed clarity and focus.  We specifically build in contingencies to allow the student to be considered by specific universities and programs in their countries of focus..

RESEARCH & INTERNSHIPS

This level of engagement can help you explore your areas of interest and also provide focus in your application.  We stay connected to institutions that provide programs for research.

UNIVERSITY LISTS

One of the critical components of the application process, this is a step where our expertise is key. We approach list  preparation as the key component of our strategy, balancing academic requirements with your university budget.  We incorporate likely scholarships based on your academic level, resulting in a list that is risk distributed, from reaches to likelies. We collaborate with the student and family through the process.

COURSE SELECTION

We assist in the selection of a curriculum and specific coursework to include through high school.  This is often required to be eligible for various universities and programs globally. 

SUMMER ACADEMICS

Each calendar year, we prepare a short list of summer options customized for you based on your academic goals and budget. If you require scholarships from summer programs, we usually recommend that you  apply to more than 2-3 programs.

ESSAY WRITING

We use our own curriculum which we administer through weekly sessions in July, allowing rising seniors to draft their main essay. Students also learn the principles of reflective writing as well as essay types required in Europe and the UK.  Essay writing is core to our practice and we provide feedback and suggestions on each essay, and ask our students to allow multiple drafts to allow their own voice to come through while representing themselves well to admissions.
