IE University’s application process is straightforward and entirely online. Bachelors students can apply to up to 3 different programs. It’s essential to select the preferred campus for application, whether Segovia or Madrid. The options include spending four years in Madrid or two years in each location, Segovia and Madrid. Notably, there’s no difference in acceptance difficulty between the campuses. Below includes IE’s application requirements:
- Application fee is €150
- Must supply grades from Seconde, Premiere and Terminale. Transcripts can be in French.
- Must use the IE CV template in PDF and maximum 2 pages. Make sure to put all extracurricular activities
- The application will ask you to write 3 words which your classmates would use to describe you.
- Must write in 140 characters or less what you wished the application had asked you. In the interview, they will ask you to talk about this and explain.
- Must have at least 1 reference letter. If you provide only one, it must come from the school principal, or counselor. They recommend that you provide the second optional letter from a professor.
- The students need to select 1 of the formats offered to answer the question. The formats possible are:
- 1. A video, maximum 3 minutes.
- 2. A powerpoint presentation maximum 10 slides.
- 3. A written essay between 250 and 650 words.
- If you choose the written essay, write on 1 of the 3 essay questions:
- 1. Tell us about a time you faced a challenge or a setback. What did you learn from this experience and how has it affected the way you view future obstacles?
- 2. Describe one of your unique personality traits which will make you a valuable member of the IE community. Give us an example of when this aspect of your personality helped you through a situation.
- 3. Reflect on a personal accomplishment which has helped you develop your understanding of yourself or the world around you.
- Once the application is complete, you will receive an email to complete the “Kira” part of the application process. KIRA is a video interview with 3 questions. 2 of the questions you answer in a video, and the third one is a written answer. The questions related to IE values, or about the program you are applying to.
- Can choose to take either the SAT, ACT, or the IE test. The IE test can now be done online. Minimum SAT score is 1200.
- IELTS– student needs a score of 7.0. Duolingo is also accepted with a score of 130.
- Students need to receive at least a 14 on the French BAC.
- Math is important. Students should have taken Math Specialite in Premiere, and if not, they need to have Math Complementaire in Terminale. Must have a minimum grade of 13.
- IE offer is conditional. Students must maintain their same academic level as the grades already provided. Students must send to IE the last semester grades as well.
